If you were around in 2008, there's 2 ways you heard this song. Way one was like me, behind your computer, tooling around as Luis Lopez in the sweet ass Sentinel STD you could find in Alderny....
The other, more realistic version is how I hope some heard this. Cold fall morning. It's 6:30, and you just opened your east-facing garage. Inside of it, you sit in your pride and joy, a 2003 BMW M3. You've loved this thing for 5 years and 65000 miles. Now, it's engine warming up, the Akrapovic exhaust reverberating nicely around your garage, you realize that you need your early morning commute soundtrack. Plugging your new iphone4 in to the iMedia connector, you let the Harman/Kardon speakers warm up themselves with some much needed Pjanooo...
Exhaust crackling, you shift your baby in to 1st, and roll down the driveway in to the street, and you set off, once again, on the ride of your life....
(note: I'm currently obsessing over the E46 M3. expect some relation to it in the next 2-3 Late night tunes posts.)
